62 European Cloud IaaS vendors.
Cloud IaaS: Infrastructure as a Service — virtual machines, storage, networking. Below, every vendor in the knowledge base headquartered in the EU or the EEA, each checked by us for headquarters, owner, hosting and licence. Non-European vendors are listed at the bottom with a link to their European alternatives.
72 vendors in total: 62 European, 10 American, 0 other; 1 open source. Last checked: 6 October 2026.
Why this matters for digital sovereignty
Cloud IaaS puts your entire infrastructure and stored data with an external party; as a cloud computing service it falls under the NIS2 directive, and a US-owned provider can be compelled under the CLOUD Act to hand over data. Check the data centre location, the ultimate owner and whether you keep control of the encryption keys.
