How we count

Every vendor in the knowledge base is checked by us for headquarters, ultimate owner, hosting locations and licence; nothing is entered by vendors themselves. "European" means a headquarters in the EU or the EEA, and a foreign owner is recorded separately. Per category we count the European vendors, the open-source options and the total. Last check: 6 October 2026.
